This is the perfect way to raise money for Cancer Research, receive a discount for the wonderful weekend activities of Salute, and have a great time!

The Dash is helping the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership, 336Events, and the Winston-Salem Jaycees create an amazing weekend of events.  It starts Friday night at 9:00 with the Salute Kick-Off Celebration at the Millennium Center.  This party will feature a great concert by the Plaids, drink specials, and door prizes.  Perhaps best of all: A portion of all proceeds will be donated to the Duke Cancer Research Center!!!

We will test your turnaround capabilities after such a fun-filled night.  The Salute Wine Festival begins at noon on Saturday in Downtown Winston-Salem.  This is one of downtown's highlights of the year and was voted a "Top 20 Event in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society.  Enjoy free tastings and the opportunity to purchase several North Carolina wineries' best varietals.  Delicious food selections, musical entertainment, a Dash Tent!, and the new "North Carolina Wine University" interactive educational area all compliment the vineyards' stations.

After Salute ends at 6:00 p.m., there will be live music and dancing in the street outside Foothills Brewery.  This weekend's activities may never stop!

Here's the deal on Tickets:

Individually, the Kick-Off Celebration party will cost $7 for advance tickets or $10 at the door.  Salute tickets cost $20 in advance and $25 the Day of the Event.  However, you can bundle and save (even though we are not a Cable Company!).  Buy a ticket for both events for $25 at www.triadticket.com.

Look forward to seeing all of you Friday night at the Millennium Center and Saturday afternoon in the streets of Downtown Winston-Salem!  We can all toast to good health and happiness. Of course, the formal Italian way to toast is cin cin, pronounced Chin Chin.  But all Dashers are friends, so we'll use the informal way: Alla Salute!
